DISCOVERING TREMONT, OH
Famous for its annual car show, Tremont City is located in Clark County, Ohio. The village’s most recent population estimates indicate 357 people live there. Originally, the town was known as Treemount because it was settled originally at the base of a hill that was covered by large trees.
Going back to 1839, a post office was established there under that former name. Then, in 1877, the name was changed to Tremont City. Eventually, a private airport was built there. The airport, known as Mad River Airport, is located one mile northeast of Tremont City.
