The city of Xenia has been pronounced as the “Bicycle Capital of the Midwest”. The title is appropriate as they converted five old railroad lines into paved bike baths. This accounts for over 270 miles of paved bike paths which pass through Xenia. Full system replacement
I installed a Five Star 80% Two-Stage 60k BTU Down-Flow Gas Furnace Five Star 13 SEER, 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner
I completed the spring tune up on air conditioners. I visually inspected the furnace. Checked voltage and amps. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
I completed a diagnostic on a 31 year old A/C. I inspected the unit and found the fan motor does not spin freely and the condenser fan needs replaced. Contacts are also pitted. Customer did not wanted to repair currently as house is being sold. I advised once again that we cannot guarantee how system will work until we are able to get condenser fan motor replaced.
Upon arrival I noticed high voltage fuses keep blowing. Tightened lugs at disconnect and contactor. Right size fuses in as well. Amp draw is good for compressor and fan. No wires seen pinched or rubbing on metal. System working at this time.
